Donna's Poems
A Fight

Who can understand the way of a fight.
Maybe it's just a brawl, flailing arm,
Kicking, tearing, hitting,  thing of the night.
The adrenaline, shaking, and body's harm.

A different battle waged at executive table,
With men or women's mind's rush,
Steel thoughts, warped tension as a cable,
Willing their way from shove to push.

The disgrace of a family at war,
Police trained to know the danger,
High emotions here and more,
Tear at each other like a stranger.

Even little things like birds,
Violently demand territorial rights,
Quick and decided without words,
In mid-air they settle their fights.

But the most fearsome of all anger,
Is the one between nations great or small,
This fight goes past primitive mangers,
Becomes too great a threat to humanity fall.

The love for peace within our soul,
Shudders at a miserable disruption,
Of gentle pleasures and their goal,
Placing all civilization at corruption.

We succumb to ways like simple birds?
Is there a way  to protect our preferred life?
What is the method, what are the words?
Please some understanding free from strife.
