Donna's Poems
by Donna Flood

Mollie came to the states from England,
Decided to take the prairie and lay her hand.

She loved a cowboy with all her heart,
Took on his locale, town for her part.

The acres were small on that little range,
But it was something grand, how strange.

The winds did blow to jerk her garden about
Raised her fist challenged it with a shout.

Neither freezing winters or torrid summers,
Will hold her from beautifying all comers.

Bloom precious blossom on rocky ridge high
She willed these of inherited strength, to buy

So if you are ever in Oklahoma, of Shidler,
Should you have a need to wear a spur,

Don't neglect to visit the garden's of Molly
Prairie now has a spot, a sparkle, by golly.
