This is a book by Patrick Campbell about
his travels in North America in the years 1791 and 1792. He was most
interested in visiting Scots who had settled in this area to find out how
they were doing and so his account is reckoned very accurate as to the
economic situation at this point in history. I have known about this book
for some time but have only just discovered a copy of it on the Canadian
archives web site and so am providing a link to it so you can read it
online.
