The MacSporran Boys On Holiday

Nonsense lyrics by Grandad MacSporran [alias John Henderson] on the 14th of September, 2010
to Con Conrad's 1923 music for the song 'Barney Google'.

Who're the most endearing boys that I have ever seen?
Who're the lads that are the best that there have ever been?
No these aren't Jimmy Jenkins, or his cousin Johnny Blues,
So I'm very proud that I'm allowed this chance to introduce .....

Jimmy McKay MacSporran with his two big twinkling eyes;
Jimmy McKay MacSporran who eats lots of pizza pies;
These make Jimmy sink a drink, to be feeling in the pink;
Jimmy McKay MacSporran with his two big twinkling eyes.

Sammy McKay MacSporran with his sweet soprano voice;
Sammy McKay MacSporran who’s most ev’rybody’s choice;
Folks shout, “Sammy, Come-on sing, you will make our glasses ring;
Sammy McKay MacSporran with your sweet soprano voice.”

These are the two MacSporrans who are Daddy and Mummy's wee boys,
But sometimes wild these MacSporrans they can make such a lot of noise,
When they are swimming, or jumping in, they make such an awful din,
They sound more like ten MacSporrans who're all full of holiday joys!

Jimmy 'Mick' MacSporran, with his two bright sparkling eyes;
Sammy 'Mick' MacSporran whose Scotch dancing gets a prize;
Both these laddies make me 'PROUD-PROUD', even when their noise is LOUD,
For one day they'll be much bigger boys and much more wordly wise!

Jimmy McKay MacSporran, with his two bright sparkling eyes;
Sammy McKay MacSporran whose Scotch dancing gets a prize;
Both these laddies make me PROUD, even when their noise is LOUD,
One day they'll be bigger and so much more wordly wise!
