Donna's Poems
September's Stroll
by Donna Flood

September! You came strolling in,
I said, "Where have you been?"
"I've missed you, old Friend."

My feet are sliding off hot summer bricks,
September sighed, Summers up to old tricks.

September wrapped her arms around me.
She was warm, as warm as can be.

Though for just one instant I felt a cooling,
It was just for the briefest ruling.

So, with this realizing winter is on his way,
I wouldn't mind at all if September  would stay.
