Donna's Poems
Lemony Daffodil

As bright as lemons they stand at the end of their stalk,
They have multiplied and across the lawn they walk.

There's a spread of lavender Vetch on the ground,
Some speak ill of it and even frown.

I enjoy the presence of anything living on this slope,
Keeps me going with brave hope.

Spring's countenance is cool and dull.
She seems to be holding and in a lull.

The temperature yesterday was warm and soft,
Today cool breezes are too low, dropping from aloft.

Then I gaze out through window across the windy scene,
And, would you believe?  A housefly on my screen.
