Donna's Poems
City or Country's Voice

Once long ago there were balmy mornings,
The city's voice spoke of other things,
While in our back yard space,
Pets and children played full of grace.

The giant roar seemed to be a living creature,
Moving so fast his actions must have been a blur.
There was nothing visible to be seen,
Only the sounds of entity's sheen.

Underneath that mighty ghost,
Our world was in comparison host,
To quiet setting,  peaceful sounds,
Holding that other thing off our ground

Today, in our country home,
Our area suffers or carries not that dome
But somehow, something is there,
Maybe, above us, winter's monster, somewhere.
